Post your weird stuff and a short snippet of what it is! I'll start it off with a pair of strips Cannon and I had in 2015: 73 year old male complaining of syncope. Pertinent medical history includes stroke and Parkinson's. Click to see larger Oh cool, we caught a conversion to a-flutter that caused a syncopal episode. But wait... We should do a 12-lead to make sure: Click to see larger Hmm... That's a lot of artifact. Let's do another 12-lead in the EXACT same location to see if anything changed: Click to see larger The physician reviewing this case determined that our patient was in A-flutter right up until we did the 12-lead. They then converted into a normal sinus rhythm with significant artifact. The problem? We could get these strips simultaneously. Every time we cut over to Lead II, there was our A-flutter again. {Click Here to find out what it is} Well it's just not fair because you're missing a piece of information. He had a deep brain stimulator to treat his Parkinson's. Our Zoll X-series monitor interpreted that interference in just such a way that it would appear to be flutter waves. He had two large battery packs implanted in the immediate vicinity of lead V1 and V2 with some pretty large wires running up his chest, through his neck, and into his brain.
